Hi, I am Helen. Since my early childhood my family have always had dogs, cats & a variety of different animals in our family home.

At present I have a gorgeous Cocker Spaniel called Honey, a beautiful Bulldog called Balou and three cats, Martini, Marshall & Oreo, which we rescued from France. I love them all dearly, they are my family.

Previously my position was Registered Homes Manager for Mencap and then Community Integrated Care. I managed two homes for people with profound learning & physical disabilities. I have worked in the care sector for over 16 years, mental health, elderly and then with people with learning disabilities. I have loved every part of my career.

I felt it was now time, to embark on a new career that I truly loved and predominantly a new business where I had ownership.

I have always had a deep love for animals, and always had a very artistic and creative side. So dog grooming ticked all the boxes.

I started my dog grooming training with South Coast Dog Grooming Academy in Worthing, it was the most amazing training with the best instructors, with a wealth of experience. I loved every minute of the course and made some amazing, supportive friends along the way.

Myself & Michelle have been great friends for over 12 years now. We both have kind and and caring nature's, we love animals, we prefer doing more active / hands on work, we are very sociable, we love a chat with our customers, and dogs of course! And we also share a great sense of humor ( hence our business name! )

Its great we can work together too and support each other. We were actually the very first friends through the training Academy, which were going into business together as a partnership. Most dog groomers tend to run their businesses solely. Two pairs of hands has certainly proven to be more beneficial with this type of work.

I am now London OCN trained, Pets First Aid trained & Emmi teeth cleaning trained. 

After becoming qualified dog groomers, our journey with our own business 'Doggy Style Grooming' then began......and I absolutely love it!

Meeting all the wonderful dogs & customers, has just been the icing on the cake!
